Mark Pombo, sporting a Traqmate logo on the side of his Spec Miata #10, claimed the win over 47 other cars in the Spec Miata American Road Race of Champions at Road Atlanta on November 12th, sanctioned by the SCCA. He is shown here with Todd Buras in the Krispy Kreme Spec Miata.
Traqmate runners were well-represented in the SM and IT ranks, including the ITA Miata driven by Stan Mitchem and Rob Ebersol which placed 4th in class in Sunday’s grueling 3 hour enduro. The Traqmate Miata placed well in the ARRC and Pro-IT races but failed to finish the enduro due to an electrical malfunction.
Mike Cottrell, another Traqmate user, debuted his sparkling new 1999 Spec Miata and qualified on the outside pole.
Track Systems was supporting our customers and campaigning the Traqmate Spec Miata on November 10-13 at the annual ARRC year-end SCCA blowout at Road Atlanta. One driver using a demo Traqmate had this to say,
“Going into the ECR, my times were pretty much stuck at 52’s, consistently. Glenn and Ron were nice enough to run the Traqmate in my car for the ECR qualify, and go over the data with me before the race. Glenn compared his times of 48’s to mine. Where I thought I was doing poorly, I was actually doing OK. But the Traqmate pointed out that the areas I thought I was doing well with, I was actually way off. And some turns I was doing better than I expected. I was sort of surprised that I was focusing on the wrong things. Using this information during the ECR, I dropped by times to 50. Now I’m a believer in the digital coach.
Santa better bring me a Traqmate!”
